Course Overview

When selecting a boiler for a project the designer is often faced with the task of determining what a boiler’s output is in their application to properly size it. We will examine the various ratings and efficiencies associated with a boiler and how there are generated. Given that most applications do not mirror testing conditions, we will relate these ratings to sizing a boiler for an application. Finally, the question often comes up about how to verify the efficiency of a condensing boiler. We will examine how, given system conditions, to verify a condensing boiler’s efficiency.
