Course Overview

Often with a residential project, the decision is made to couple the DHW load to the space heating boiler. The question then becomes whether to go with a combi boiler or add an indirect water heater to the boiler plant. In this course we will examine the two methods and answer the following questions: Sizing for water heating, how should you approach it? Sizing the boiler, what is different between the two approaches? How are the DHW design considerations different? What are the performance differences? The third option, Instantaneous generation with DHW storage, where does it fit?
